NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Stock Exchange finished down 0.3% Tuesday, penalized by values of the pharmaceutical sector as Merck.

The Dow Jones index of 30 industrial ceded 39 points to 12.832,75. The S & P-500, broader, lost 5.25 points, or 0.38% at 1.391,12.

The Nasdaq Composite has gained 1.70 point turn (+0.07%) at 2.426,10.
