Air France-KLM


The Franco-Dutch airline Air France-KLM has reached an agreement with the Dutch technological society AlgaeLink for the production of fuel-based algae for airplanes, said Monday a spokesman for KLM. The company AlgaeLink located in the southern Netherlands, announced it had signed an exclusive agreement with KLM last April on the development of an alternative fuel made from seaweed, as COO of AlgaeLink Peter van den Dorpel. The latter has also indicated that the project was currently gaining momentum with the culture of algae in the Netherlands and Spain, in the perspective qu'AlgaeLink begins to deliver fuel to KLM by the end 2008
