End of strike at the German airline Lufthansa



The German airline announced Friday that the strike by cabin crew and ground triggered earlier this week at the invitation of the services union Ver.di would end Saturday morning, after the conclusion of a wage agreement.

The end of the strike will take effect from 06:00 am local time (04H00 GMT), said a spokesman, questioned by AFP.

"The normalization of traffic will take up to two weeks," said the spokesman for Lufthansa.

The main airline in the country had announced earlier with Ver.di have reached a wage agreement for its ground staff.

An agreement should be concluded for the cabin crew, but this remains subject to approval by the independent union of pilots UFO, "said a spokesman for Lufthansa, questioned by AFP
